Post Consumer Automotive Plastic Recovery

For the past six years, ACI Plastics, Inc. has been taking aggressive measures to bring post-consumer material to our recycling facilities from landfill sites. This method is known as the scrap bumper-buy-back program. With this program, we started an international campaign that enables us to acquire hundreds of thousands of bumpers from the automotive dismantlers and turn them into recycled material.

The CAPRI Program has collected millions of pounds of  fascia (pictured above) from salvage  yards and automotive dismantlers.

Original Equipment Manufactures use PCX 601 to create new bumpers and fascia for their automobiles. These Manufacture's products are key elements to the  recycling program

Recently, we have taken an even more aggressive measure with the program. By utilizing the resources available in salvage yards and body shops, we have broadened our scope in our bumper collection. We began the Consumer Automotive Plastic Recycling International Program (CAPRI Program). The CAPRI program's goal is to annually collect 10 million pounds of scrap bumpers from recycling facilities, salvage yards and dismantlers.
